Homosalate is approved worldwide. The maximum concentration in ready for use preparations varies according to local legislation. It is listed in Annex VI of Regulation (EC) No. 1223/2009 upto 10% Max.

Applications: Homosalate (HS) is commonly incorporated into sunscreens for its antibacterial abilities & helps prevent product from turning rancid. It is an oil soluble chemical sunscreen agent that absorbs UV B radiation.
